After a week of negative energy, self-doubting and nearly letting the naysayers bring me down, I needed Daydream Nest number 60 to be left in a place that stood for everything this project is about. To me, the heart of this project is simple. Heck, it’s one of the most famous phrases in our Declaration of Independence. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The freedom to follow you dreams, a life free to choose who and what you want to be, and the freedom to find your bliss. We are all different, thank goodness. Our dreams are vast and unique. Some dream to work on the top floor of an office, some dream of opening a coffee shop and serving up a perfect frothy espresso, some dream of bouncing a giggling baby on their knee. Some dreams are grand, and some dreams are quite simple. Everyone’s dream is equally important. If someone is striving to be what they want to be, whatever that is, I cherish them. This project is for them. It isn’t easy to stick to your path and make your dreams a reality. There are people along the journey that have forgotten their passion, given up on dreaming. This project is for them, too. Benjamin Franklin said, “The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.” Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Nest number 60 lies near a symbol of what this country was founded on, The Liberty Bell. If you find Daydream Nest number 60, remember, we aren’t perfect, we all stumble along the way. Geez, even the bell got a crack, but it kept on ringing.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness……or, nest #60!

You reached in and pulled those words straight out of my heart. Both this and the last post. My dream is in sight…it is in reach. Although, patience is the lesson that I know I am learning on this journey today. This torturous patience will somehow allow me the strength I will need when my dream finally comes true. But then again…I have to remind myself that my dream is already coming true. My dream came true the day I decided that I was my dream and nothing would stop it from happening.
“Dreams are like stars…you may never touch them, but if you follow them they will lead you to your destiny.”
Love the post. I’m a huge Franklin fan and I was just at the Liberty Bell in May. Terrific job, really good to read.
Thanks for reminding me to keep ringing the bell of my individual dreams, in spite of the tiny cracks of fear and doubt that threaten to quiet my voice. I really dig your site!!!
